This one's a gem
I had some extra speakers I wanted to drive with something hooked up to my computer and/or DVD player. I'd been using old stereo component amps but tired of how big they are and wanted to find something a little more streamlined. Well, this unit is exactly what I was looking for-- clean, sturdily constructed, low noise, small size, and exactly the options I would want and nothing more.

Back panel has voltage switch 110/230, fuse access, line out, microphone in, and three sets of inputs. I hooked it up to my 4-ohm speakers, and it kicks up a pretty decent output. Exceeded my expectations.

Bought mine from All Audio Expo via Amazon, and it appears to be brand new in box as originally sealed by the mfg. UPS sure trashed the heck out of the outer box though, but All Audio did an expert job of double-boxing with peanuts so the inner box was fine and the unit is completely undamaged and works perfect.

Impressive
My situation was that I had a pair of weighty JBL L100 speakers leftover from the mid-70's. The receiver died a long time ago, but I really just wanted to crank up those old speakers to see if they still delivered. Since my tunes are all on the IPod, I didn't see the need to invest in a receiver all over again. I decided to give the Pyle a try. You'll need to get a mini (3.5mm) to RCA plug adapter for IPod usage,but after that you're good to go.

This is an impressive unit. Small footprint, volume control, bass/treble controls, multiple inputs are the features I liked. It supplies plenty of power for those old JBLs, which still sound great after all of these years.

For the price, highly recommended.

**Update 7/25/11- I bought a second one of these to power some outdoor speakers. Works just as well as the first...still highly recommended.
The perfect garage amplifier
I purchased this unit so I could listen to a cd player while working in my garage. I already had an older component cd player, tuner, speakers etc just lying around unused, so all I needed was a small amp at a low price to have my tunes. While it is primarily geared for DJ and PA use (it has mic input and mixing/paging controls), this is a perfect choice if you already have extra component equipment and just need some watts. Well constructed, cool running, and nice looking also. An excellent value IMHO.

OK - some caveats
This amplifier is fine if you don't listen to teenager loud music. The power level is misleading specially when reported at max output power of 120Wx2 with unspecified Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). At 1% or lower THD - high-fidelity accepted value at which most other manufactures report power level - this Amp is rated at 20Wx2. I had this unit driving two Polk Audio Atrium 45 speakers and two in-ground OSD 6.5" speaker in parallel (4 Ohm effectively per Amp specs) in my backyard. Ajusting the volume to 3/4 for a short time (5 min or less) would cause the Amp to overheat and crackle as a result. understanding these limitations then the Amp is fine. The small size, USB 2.0 Stick media player and relatively low cost are great bennefits.

Would have received 5 stars, but...
The first one I received was dead on arrival. Amazon quickly sent out a replacement and it's fantastic!
The USB function is really neat. It's not really advanced--it just plays the songs you have on your USB stick in a row, with no way of navigating through albums or artists. If you don't mind that, you will be thrilled with this thing.
Power and sound quality are excellent. Most speakers will not be able to handle the bass on full boost, so be careful.
So far I've paired it with:
1. A pair of DCM KX12 loudspeakers. That rattled my bones.
2. A pair of Klipsch Quintet II satellites and a Klipsch SWV powered sub. I was very pleased with the detail.
Both setups have yielded excellent results. I just can't wait to try it with my Klipsch KG-3's!
Great Basic Amplifier
I purchased this amp for my outdoor speakers which are on my front porch. They are Definitive Technology bookshelf speakers with a 3" woofer and a 1" tweeter. This amp does a great job driving the Def Tecs. I play music through the 1/8 input jack on the front using my iPhone. The sound is great considering the cost of the amp and speakers. The LEDs on the front are a bit bright which could be annoying to some people. Overall its a great product, the sound is terrific, and it is ideal for a small system.

Good amp for people who will read a manual and think things through.
I've owned one of these amps now for about six months. All the complaints I've read in the reviews have come from people who obviously can't be bothered to read, pay attention, or think things through. I'm specifically referring to Auto Input Switching/Power, lack of features, and output power.

First, this is NOT an integrated amp. Nor is it designed to be used primarily as a standalone system. It is intended to be used as a node on a distributed music system. The feature set for this unit has this use in mind.

It can function as a standalone unit but if you are going to use it as such you need to use it with a pre-amp or with an input source that provides adequate line in, input selection and the tone/equalization control you want.

Second, the auto input switching. The manual isn't clear on this and the feature can't be switched off, which is why I docked it a star. But some reading and thought will provide the solution. The auto input feature is only...

Solid product!
I had the reported switching problem ("UPDATE: This device has one annoying defect ... a "clever" feature of switching inputs automatically when it senses no input on one of the two stereo inputs ... any stretch of silence will cause it to switch"). I called AudioSource and I have to give them credit. The problem is relatively easy to solve by using Input 2 instead of Input 1 if you're only using one input.
Compact solution to complement my IPOD
My stereo configuration is four KLH outdoor "rock" (they look like pieces of granite) speakers, an IPOD, and a ten-inch deep book shelf that I wanted to use as the location for the amplifier. I looked at Fry's, Best Buy, and Circuit City and couldn't find anything that was compact enough to fit on the bookshelf unless I went really high-end with a Bose setup. I had a spare Sony surround receiver that worked fine, except that it didn't fit the shelf, plus I wasn't really looking for all the bells and whistles of the receiver because I won't be using this setup to watch TV, my CD's are all on iTunes now, and I get crummy radio reception at my house. So, the technical requirements were to be able to drive the four speakers using a line-in level input coming from the IPOD. Pretty simple.

Anyhow, I purchased the Audiosource AMP100 amplifier on Amazon (to my consternation they dropped the price 3 bucks between the time I placed the order and when I received it) and it arrived...

A Bold New Way to Listen to Music
A few months ago, I decided to upgrade my music system. I began looking at CD "jukeboxes" that could load my entire collection. Along the way, I discovered the world of wireless music systems, and began researching them. Sonos seemed to be well-received, so I finally made the decision to purchase a ZoneBridge and a ZonePlayer 120. This setup has fulfilled every expectation I had for a new music system, and more. iPod Touch and Sonos - No computer needed.....
Recently Sonos announced a FREE iPod Touch/iPhone application which allows your iPod Touch or iPhone to become a Zone Controller for the Sonos system. I've been looking at the Sonos system for a while and the ability to now use an iPod Touch as a Zone Controller was what did it for me. You now no longer need to spend $399 on a Zone Controller to be able to control your music wirelessly.

Overall the system was simple to set up and performed flawlessly. I give it 5 stars and won't elaborate further as this sort of thing is covered in many online reviews. What I will cover in a little more detail is the use of the iPod Touch as a controller.

I purchased a ZoneBridge to plug directly into my router and one ZonePlayer 120 to receive music wirelessly in my family room. I used an existing set of Bose bookshelf speakers. I downloaded the Sonos application to my 2G iPod Touch.

Pyle Pro Amp works
I bought the Pylepro PCA3 amy to run off my computer for music. Hooked to a pair of Polk Audio speakers. The system is better than the sound system with the computer. However, when you read the specifications is is only a 15 watt @ 1% distortion which is how typical amplifers are rated. The specification continue that at 10% distortion it can reach 75 watts / channel. ...sure... I do like the product and for the price it is a fair priced item.

Perfect for a single (or mixed) stereo source
I have a living room setup with two Sony SS-F7000 floor-standing speakers. This amp powers them very nicely for my purposes. To me it sounds perfect - strong bass (main concern before buying) and with bass/treble controls that I leave set in the middle. In this fairly small room, I use it up to about 1/2 volume (at which point it is way too loud).

I don't want the complexity of a Stereo receiver with source selector, and so I combined this amp with a simple mixer: American Recorder PMIX-100 3-Source Personal Audio Mixer

This way I can have all my sources always on, it's just a matter of starting/stopping them.

Very clean sound
A very compact little unit that is good for applications that call for clean but non-critical audio. I use it to power Polk speakers connected to a computer. Gets me very clean sound from iTunes, etc. -- vastly superior to the sound-in-a-box computer speakers.

It's good for what it's worth
I bought this amp to give some more power to my Pyle Home PTCDS5U Vintage Turntable with CD/Cassette/Radio/Aux-In/USB/SD/MP3 and Vinyl to MP3 Encoding(Black). For an inexpensive amp, it gives this vintage component the boost I needed--To get more bass and kick out of the turntable. I will say you do get a "hum" from this amp, but it's only heard when no music is played--Meaning you hear it when the unit is on/silence between songs. The doesn't run hot and that's a plus. It also does not take much room at all! It's about 6 1/2 inches long, light and fits in the palm of your hand!

This is the 2nd Pyle product I've bought and so far so good. I will say if you are looking for a little amp to hook up decent speakers (like the ones I have--Polk Audios) to an mp3 player, this amp DOES deliver for it does feature an MP3/aux in connection on the front of the unit. Class T Amp
This is a good sounding amp (Class T amps are very efficient and with wide frequency range) although the 60 watts is based upon 4ohm speakers. If you are using 8ohm speakers, you are only getting about half the output power depending on how efficient your speakers are (a SPL or efficency of over 90 is recommended). I had to send one of these back to Amazon as they had defective speaker wire clamps and the item was replaced quickly with a good item.
Not a Bad Product
Okay here's the thing: it clips out and drops the sound entirely when I turn it up past halfway. I can creep it up a little but when a bass beat hits, it just drops. Now this shouldn't be a problem on my little speakers, because at 40% volume, they sound pretty loud. I don't really need it to go that loud. But it also sort of annoys me that they didn't just take all the power this unit could take and spread it more evenly across the potentiometer. Not a big deal though.

Great product. Lightweight, sounds great, gets out of the way. I replaced a large amp with it, because I only have one input and two speakers I need to get sound from. So it fits my needs perfectly. And the Pyle name is trusted. Good buy. I'm really happy with this. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the clipping out part. I would rather have a hard envelope of how high I can turn it than having to mess with guessing if I got it right. Other than that, completely happy.

testing 1, 2?
The amp worked fine for 42 days and suddenly a few minutes a smoke and it was gone. Tried contacting company twice and no one replied. Online product registration failed each time with an http error code (after typing in all info). An email message to company regarding this went unanswered.

Great home amplifier
The Pyle Home PCA2 Mini amplifier worked just as expected. Best wireless solution for audio
This unit feels professional and solid (it is metal!). It is GREAT. I am using this with some moderately cheap KLH satellite speakers with a subwoofer that I bought maybe 15 years ago.

Granted that there are no speakers with this. If you you think you are getting a deal because there are speakers attached to or are included with other products in the same price range, you may find them to be of inferior quality and sound tinny and/or muffled. I have tried several wireless transmitters and wireless speakers to get sound into my sun room from the main house and I have been disappointed with all of them. Mostly the other items have just picked up too much interference (general static and also noise from my wireless router).

Effective Unit - Works Well!
I bought this once it first came out and I've been pleased. It works effectively to expand your listening area wirelessly between zones or even between 5.1 and 7.1 setups.

I use this across my house - a house that is also set up with a wireless network for my computers as well as both cordless and cellular phones. The interference from these units is minimal, if present at all. Surprisingly, I find the most interference from either myself or others walking past it. Wierd. Though, there are 4 channels available to sync the transmitter and receiver seamlessly (or close to it).

The sound is great. It has a built in 50W amplifier and provides crisp sounds. The subwoofer output allows you to make this mini system a sharp 2.1 surround sound system. Note - use a non LFE sub (or just bypass the LFE option on your sub) since the receiver has its own volume input.

Excellent product but........
The JBL WEM-1 work as advertised. Very straight forward and easy installation, I used this unit to connect my rear surround speakers and the sound is crystal clear as if they were wired. Power / volume output is ok for normal listening with no noticeable distortion. The signal starts fading around 30 to 40 feet away.

The system was also connected as a stand alone speaker extension for another room, and the results obtained were not as satisfactory as before. Maybe because the unit was underpowered for the speakers I used (Bose acoustimass bass and sattelite system). However, the sound was still crystal clear but volume was not enough...My guess is it should work fine with shelf speakers. (output advertised is 50W per channel)

The system was also connected using the line in input and speaker in input. Using the speaker in input, the volume is controlled from your main stereo receiver/amplifier unit. The JBL WEM-1 comes with a remote control for volume...

Excellent Product, Great Value
I finally got this system setup and it works very well. I am very happy with it. It is easy to setup and use, has tons of cool features and ships with just about everything you'll need, including alternate face plates of a different colour. I use all four zones available, three being fixed and one variable (powered by a separate amp). You can select whichever source you want at any zone independent of all others, all with independent volume, bass and treble control or you can have party mode, allowing all zones to play the same source, with the control being provided by one master zone. You get full stereo in all zones.

In comparing this system to the Niles ZR-4, I find this one is better value, albeit providing less watts per channel and not including a built-in tuner. However, I was able to get a stand alone tuner for less than $100, still bringing the total cost of this system (in comparison to the Niles) to about $200 - $400 less. Works great!
Purchased here far cheaper than I could have with my ADI wholesale account. Connected to Directv as audio source, the controls and amp work great. I used the included faceplate adapters to change color from white to beige to match rest of house switches.

The system only has 15 watts per channel, so don't expect this to "rock the house" it's great whole house audio and will provide nice background and listening music with the options of changing the channels, or audio source in each of the rooms.

Don't expect Russsound to give you any direct support on this product. They are not happy to see their products on Amazon or Ebay. They want to protect profit margins of their dealers and make sure installations are done professionally.
Excelent quality and functionality
I am very pleased with the quality and performance of this Russound product, it is very easy to install if you know a little about how to make network cable conectors, the price was and excellent deal, just keep in mind that you wont have any support from Russound and that the manufacturer garantee its invalid because you are not buying it and installing from from a certified integrator, but the price is worth the risk.
