Super Radio, Dated Interface
The "Grace Digital Wireless Hi-fi Internet Radio Tuner" is one of the best tuners that I have ever seen. The ease of setup and the multiple choices that you have for your listening pleasure (Internet Radio, Pandora, Live365, and others) was honestly quite astonishing to me. With the WiFi I have in my house, I had 5 bars on everything and the radio comes in crystal clear. And the channels! There were so many of them that I had trouble selecting JUST one. It also has a nice bright display that includes a clock (as well as an Alarm setting) and a headphone jack. As far as setup goes, it was as basic as plugging in power and then piping it into an output device (I used my old stereo since its already hooked into the speakers). It's actually a quite attractive system (I guess I like the blue LED display), it is light (maybe too light when you are pushing the buttons on the front) and the profile is quite low - about as tall as your typical high end blu-ray player.

Strong performer, few flaws
It is a very strong performer with lot of features. The team that came up the specs did a wonderful job. Tonnes and tonnes of features. WIFI, Radio, Alarm clock, DLNA music client, Windows network share, headphone output, digital SPDIF and Optical output etc etc. I can't find any thing lacking in terms of connectivity or features. Once I plugged and connected every thing it worked flawless, I didnt hear any noise or jitter. Played well with tough AKG headphones, digital output quality was fantastic. I didnt hear any difference between Audio CD and DLNA streamed media. I use a Bel canto DAC3 as external DAC. Features wise it is top notch. I dont think any one who buys this will miss any thing. It found almost all the radio stations, lot of variety. It has support for high bit rate audio via digital output, in built DAC can only support 16 bit audio.

Freaking awesome!
Wow! What a sweet device this is for the even the not so techo-inclined. Installation was a breeze as there were only 2 cables to hook-up: power, and RCA jacks. I piped it into my receiver and hit the power button and bingo! it found my network over it's installed handy dandy wireless network adapter (G). It prompted me for my password, which I entered (by turning the knob, which was kind of a pain) and it connected no problem. You can also wire your connection through the network cable slot in the back, however, no network cable was included.

After that, I chose internet radio and I had choices galore. The real beauty of this device is how you can personalize it. Got a Pandora account? Pipe it through this baby with ease. How about Live365? You can do that too. Want to search the internet radio via genre? No sweat. Absolutely amazing I tell you.

Sony MHC-EC69i/C2 Mini Hi-Fi Shelf System
I researched a lot to replace my old system and selected this one based on my requirement for MP3 and radio. I discovered that Hi-Fi shelf systems are not popular any more and # of models is very limited if you do not want to spend over $100.
I have it for a couple days and generally like it:
- it is a new one (Jan 2011);
- relatively cheap ($88, Walmart online);
- equalizer has about 6 options (3 on earlier model);
- sound is not bad for small size unit from CD and FM (loud enough for 300 sq feet room with 25 people).
- I think it has no more than 30 W per channel (not 50 W as advertised). There is a cooling fan inside, it kicks on when you use on high output power over 15 units on volume;
- headphone jack;
- long range remote control (up to 20 feet as tested).
What I do not like:
- a bit akward and looks cheap design;
- no input from other sources (line in or USB);
- very weak AM radio reception (needed to open its case to...

VERY GOOD SYSTEM

I am a college student and got this for my dorm and it has exceeded all of my expectations
lets just say that i got some noise complaints...

Pros- price- works for iPod/iphone- loud- good sound

Cons- if anything the cords for the speakers are only 3-4 ft long- how i have mine set up it isn't a problem
A bargain at twice the price
This unit performs exceptionally well and is priced far cheaper than inferior models. I've not found a better value in a sound system and have started buying them for gifts (in addition to the one I keep in my office).

cd player, ipod dock
This system is exactly what I was looking for. It plays MP3 players and cds. The remote is the old fashioned kind that takes "real" batteries. My other model takes the watch style battery and I have to find a store that carries them. And I have still not replaced them. (It didnt have a cd player either) I have had several docks and this one is the one I like best!

It's OK, but again falls short
Sounds good, looks good, and for the most part I am satisfied with system. But, for the third time ordering a Sony product, ( all different models ), the system does not play my ipod classic as Sony claims that it should. While I did not order the system for the ipod dock, since it is there, it would be NICE if it WORKED!!!!. I can walk into any hotel or motel room when I travel and drop my ipod into the dock on the clock radio, or any other docking station for the ipod, and I can play my music. Whats up with Sony products???

Versatile Internet Radio
This was my first Internet radio, so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but the user reviews were good, so I bought one.

This is sort of a "triple-threat" radio. To use it, you must have a wireless router. With just the router on, you can 1) listen to Internet radio; or 2) listen to Pandora. With your PC on as well, you can 3) play music and other audio material via Windows Media Player.

As others have observed, the initial set-up is kind of a pain, but it's just a one-time thing [Grace: a little mini-keyboard instead of the wheel would be a huge plus]. Internet Radio: It's useful to know in advance the call letters of the stations you want to listen to. Up to 10 pre-sets are possible. Pandora: You must be a member [it's easy and free], and it's a lot easier to define "stations" using a PC than via the Grace radio. [Once the stations are defined, just scroll through the list on the radio and select the one you want to listen to].

Excellent micro system
I love this little radio. It has great sound, a simple interface and thousands of stations. I also own the Logitech Squeezebox but this radio is a much better value in my opinion. The software interface is simple and logical (unlike the slick Squeezebox) but is very functional. It even has a retro on/off toggle switch. Clearly, the design folks at Grace digital audio are big radio/music fans.

Highly recommended.
Fantastic Product, Well Worth the Price
Since buying this product, I have shifted from watching TV to listening to the radio as my way to relax after work. I had the radio up and running within 20 minutes and could not help but be overwhelmed by the amount of radio stations available to me. My SiriusXM and Panadora accounts were easy to integrate and sound great on the included speakers.

One thing I was particularly impressed by is that Grace Digital allows users to submit music streams that aren't among the thousands currently offered. If the stream passes the initial quality examination, it is added to available list for all radio owners to tune in.

It's good for what it's worth
I bought this amp to give some more power to my Pyle Home PTCDS5U Vintage Turntable with CD/Cassette/Radio/Aux-In/USB/SD/MP3 and Vinyl to MP3 Encoding(Black). For an inexpensive amp, it gives this vintage component the boost I needed--To get more bass and kick out of the turntable. I will say you do get a "hum" from this amp, but it's only heard when no music is played--Meaning you hear it when the unit is on/silence between songs. The doesn't run hot and that's a plus. It also does not take much room at all! It's about 6 1/2 inches long, light and fits in the palm of your hand!

This is the 2nd Pyle product I've bought and so far so good. I will say if you are looking for a little amp to hook up decent speakers (like the ones I have--Polk Audios) to an mp3 player, this amp DOES deliver for it does feature an MP3/aux in connection on the front of the unit. Class T Amp
This is a good sounding amp (Class T amps are very efficient and with wide frequency range) although the 60 watts is based upon 4ohm speakers. If you are using 8ohm speakers, you are only getting about half the output power depending on how efficient your speakers are (a SPL or efficency of over 90 is recommended). I had to send one of these back to Amazon as they had defective speaker wire clamps and the item was replaced quickly with a good item.
Not a Bad Product
Okay here's the thing: it clips out and drops the sound entirely when I turn it up past halfway. I can creep it up a little but when a bass beat hits, it just drops. Now this shouldn't be a problem on my little speakers, because at 40% volume, they sound pretty loud. I don't really need it to go that loud. But it also sort of annoys me that they didn't just take all the power this unit could take and spread it more evenly across the potentiometer. Not a big deal though.

Great product. Lightweight, sounds great, gets out of the way. I replaced a large amp with it, because I only have one input and two speakers I need to get sound from. So it fits my needs perfectly. And the Pyle name is trusted. Good buy. I'm really happy with this. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the clipping out part. I would rather have a hard envelope of how high I can turn it than having to mess with guessing if I got it right. Other than that, completely happy.

Attractive and a good value, with good clean sound
I have had this system since early January '09, and paid $129+ tax. I am, overall, very satisfied with the purchase. There were no surprises. It looks and performs as represented on the Amazon page. I rate it a B+, or an 8.5/10 overall compared to similarly priced bookshelf systems.

PRO:

*Great looking in basic black, fits (style-wise and otherwise, it's also quite small) into anyone's living/bed room or office. Nice bright, clear, easy to read display.

*Solid Sony construction and quality. Materials and assembly are first rate. Lots of metal where it counts (the outer case, e.g.)

*Operation is straightforward and relatively simple. I learned basic functions in 5 minutes, and seldom needed to consult the fold-out style minimalistic manual.

*Sound is clear and accurate, and volume is ample enough to fill a typical room. Very little distortion or clipping even near top volume.

Elegant design.
I purchased this model at Best Buy for $109 after trying and returning an all-in-one Memorex shelf unit that was more expensive. I should remember that for the future, "Sony no baloney." I have a larger Sony component system for the past 16 years which never gave me any trouble. I like this model for the following reasons:

1. Good sound. 50w total power makes a big difference compared with lower rated shelf systems. It will definitely fill a room without putting it on maximum volume.
2. Elegant design and white display. Shows clock when unit is powered off on standby.
3. Controls are easy to figure out on unit and on remote control.
4. CD is sliding tray type on the front. Not the top loading type with a button in the center. I hate those.
5. Headphones jack is in the front where I want it.

Be aware though, that the "EQ" is really just treble and bass controls from -4 to +4. There is no balance control. This was not really a...

I am very impressed with this system. It has the sleek styling you expect from Sony and the quality too. The speakers have good sound especially considering their size. We had been searching for a system with multiple cd trays to replace our old one, but settled on this and we are very glad that we did-it made us really appreciate ipod technology. The system is also the perfect home for an old ipod (1.4.1) with a defunct battery. Really great product and very well priced for what you get.

Fantastic Unit
Wow this unit is fantastic, especially for the price. Compact with a great sound and what is really nice is the DVD player which supports up to 1080p. It is easy to set up and to install and takes up so little room. In addition the FM radio is of outstanding quality even without adding the wire antenae included in with the package. Most other systems that I have had in the exact same location were always somewhat "fuzzy" at times.

One of the most powerful features is the amount of inputs and outputs which most small systems do not have.

Teac MC-DV600
I conducted a fairly exhaustive search before settling on this unit, so I will start with my reasons for picking this over everything else. First, there are very few compact units available. For this application, I really did not want a full-blown AV receiver due to the complexity of operation. This unit is simple to operate, and allows you to watch movies or play audio CD's. It is not as flexible as a full featured AV receiver, but unlike the more elaborate options, anyone can operate this thing, and even if you can't, it won't "stop" you from watching TV. I have found many of the big receivers to be unneccessarily complicated and "overkill" for their intended purpose, not to mention prohibitively expensive.

If you need to rattle the windows, this unit is NOT for you. While the power output is modest, the distortion level is low and it produces pretty clean sound. The manufacturer did you a favor by limiting the volume control so it is impossible to exceed safe power...
Good value, but it's the wrong color
This unit has pretty good sound for the size and price. I haven't used the DVD player, except to play CDs and it functions fine for that purpose. I mostly use it with my iphone for music. It's not a full blown ipod connection so you can't control the ipod menu with the receiver controls. The reciever has a USB port, but that's only for memory devices, not mp3 players or ipods.

The only real complaint I have is that I wanted the metallic finish depicted in the product photo. When I ordered there was no color selection so I assumed I would get something that looked like the phote, but what I got was black. I called the seller (J&R) and they told me black was the only color they had and they didn't know why the picture showed the metallic finish. I decided not to send it back since I like it well enough (and return shipping is a pain in the @$$).

Overall, a nice little unit with only a couple of drawbacks.

Excellent shelf stereo system
For persons looking for a small, quality shelf stereo unit, the Onkyo CS-345 should be on your short list of candidates. Sound quality is great for such a small system, and the "Super Bass" feature really brings out bass tones very well. Fit and finish of both the receiver and the speakers are very good, and system set-up is quite simple and uncomplicated. It is necessary to purchase an inexpensive "Y" line-in adapter if you plan to play music from an mp3 player other than an iPod or iPhone Length of the supplied speaker wires (4 ft.) may be a bit short for some locations, but this is a minor issue and easily remedied. I found this system to be perfect for installation in the rather limited space I had available in my living room entertainment cabinet. Order fulfillment by Amazon was prompt and efficient, as always.

Great product. Compact and terrific sound
Not much to say here since the product works as advertised. I like the look. It is all black and blends into the background. I use it mainly to play songs from my ipod/iphone. The sound is very good. Crisp and clear. Great for any room in the house. Build is solid and has a fit and finish that should last a lifetime.

My only issue is that I would have liked if it were a bit shallower. It does not fit well on small shelves. I was aware of the dimensions when I purchased this, but the connectors all go in the back (power, sound) and especially the power cord, requires at least an additional inch of space in the back. In my case this places the front feet, off the shelf. I can live with this, but it may be something you want to consider.

Well worth the money
I was not certain of the value for money when I purchased the Sony CMT Hi Fi but from the reviews on Amazon I thought it was a safe purchase. I must say it more then met my expectations, the unit is compact but well designed and took up 1/3 less space than the unit it replaced (a "boombox" with two separate speakers) and weighed 2/3rds less. The sound quality is equal if not better and the iPod docking unit is seamless to use. I was impressed with the digital radio and the CD player is probably the least of the package but still works well. Overall I am very satisfied with the product.

Awesome sound, awesome size!
We have a BOSE Soundock which is really just a phenomenal product. We had an old Sony mini system die, and instead of replacing it with another pricey BOSE SounDock we opted for another Sony -- it is an excellent size and the sound is really good. It's a GREAT purchase especially considering the price.
Okay value for features but sound quality too bassy
For my kitchen, I was looking for a good radio/CD combo with an iPod docking station. I figured the Sony CMT-LX20i would be a solid choice, given the Sony name, the price (~$110), and the fairly good reviews it received. After some use, I've become unhappy with my choice. There are no separate treble & bass adjustments - just 3 settings for 'rock' 'jazz' and 'pop.' It is not bad for music played at louder levels but the midrange is lacking in every case. For my simple NPR listening, the sound seems muffled - either too soft or too loud. The unit is simple to set up and has a small footprint, but the black plastic is very lightweight (you have to hold it in place when button-punching)and feels a bit cheap. I don't understand why manufacturers believe that black finishes with small cryptic lettering (EQ, Function, and DSX) are things consumers want. I'm older and old-school, but, for a radio/compact sterio, I want knobs, simple features, and good sound.

Great buy! Don't listen to these negative reviews
This system is great. The only reason people are complaining about this system is because they didn't do the research before they bought the product, and I did. I'm currently in college in a Music Production program, and I bought these speakers to set up as my own "home studio." Everything you need to know is on the box, but for the people who complained about this, let me elaborate. The iPod dock ONLY, I repeat, ONLY works with a 2nd Gen iPod touch! If you don't have one and are buying it primarily for iPod connectivity, either don't buy it, buy a 2nd Gen iPod touch online (they're pretty cheap now), or be the smart person and buy an 1/8th inch to 1/8th inch cable (that means the headphone adapters), that way you can plug in your MP3 player, whatever it may be, without any complications. Note: make sure you get stereo, if you buy mono without looking at the details and only the price, you'll be disappointed, you need stereo so you can get the correct panning, mono won't do that. Great Sound
I brought a Thievery Corporation CD to Frye's and tested every system in there. This had the best sound for the money BY FAR. I like my music to have powerful base and thought about getting the same system with the sub woofer, but the highs and mids were not clear on that one. This unit had great comprehensive sound--clear mids and highs with great base. All of the other systems in this price range couldn't handle high volume and had around 150-170W, but this one maintained good sound as loud as I could turn it because of the 360W. The only drawback is that it's a little bigger than I wanted for a shelf system.
Great sound for the money but suffers from some tragic design flaws
This stereo looks great and sounds great for the money yet suffers from a couple of bad design decisions.
I bought this unit for the computer room to add a little boost to my computer sounds and to allow me to play my iPod through.
Here are my thoughts on this stereo

The Good:
For sound quality: The sound on this unit is rich and deep and LOUD. It works perfectly with my iPod classic, the remote may be a little tricky at first, but you will get used to it, and with games and movies passed through it from my computer.
For Construction quality: The unit feels sturdy and well made and looks amazing.

The Bad:
For reasons I cannot fathom Sony's engineers decided to go against several decades of stereo design when they made this unit. As has been pointed out by other customers there is no headphone jack on the machine, which isn't a problem for me, but one must wonder why this classic staple of just about any other stereo ever made was left...

Terrific!
I have had this now for about a month, using it as much as 12 hours a day each and every day and must say that the sound I receive from it is exceptional. The large woofer (nearly the size of the main speakers combined) gives all the bass that I desire (and I love good, deep bass) while the sound production from the main speakers is as accurate as can be. I most definitely give this stereo a glowing review and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a bookshelf system.

In response to those who say that the cords are too short, all I can say is that this is a bookshelf stereo: it is meant to go into or on top of a bookcase, not be spread around the room. It is there for providing sound, not a full home theater experience. If what one wants is a home theater, get a home theater system. One must use the right tools for the job, after all.

One warning I will give is that the CD player is on the top of the receiver and, as such, one must be careful about...

What ever happened to traditional stereo bookshelf systems??
My wife and I were looking to replace a 15 year old Aiwa bookshelf stereo ($300 at the time) and hopefully find a better one (I mean it's been 15 years right!, there has got to be some awesome new features). Boy were we wrong! Once I started to look online for a new system we were shocked to see what little there is out there in terms of full featured bookshelf stereos! The features we were looking for in a bookshelf system (that our Aiwa system was built with) include: multi-disc CD changer, multiple audio inputs/outputs (rca type for connecting DVD/Blue Ray players, etc.), full Equalizer control, audio inputs for mp3 players (not Iphones/Ipods), microphone input (for Karaoke nights). So not a long list but definitely important to us. Here is what we learned:

- It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find ANY stereo system without IPod docks (which to us is a waste of space as we will not succumb to the prison that is Apple (or am I already a prisoner by NOT buying into Apple...

I have to give this system a beaming review. I have listened and used Denons, Teacs, and other audiophile equipment in the past and Sony once again delivers the goods here with this system. I bought this system to connect to my PC through the PC line-in on the front of the main unit/amp/cd player/ipod dock/radio and also to double an radio. I must say I am impressed by this system. The sound quality is clear without any distortion at normal levels. The dedicated sub-woofer does a good job at bass reproduction and is interestingly more responsive in its range then most sub-woofers playing notes all the way up to about the 3-4khz range. The loudness of these speakers is not to be messed with, these speakers can be quite loud if you ask them to be, to the point your hearing is definitely in danger if you are nearby the speakers, but can also be quite enough for listening to music or watching a movie late at night without disturbing anyone, and you can also turn off the sub-woofer so that...
