Awesome for the price.
This is my first center channel speaker. I am not an audio-file, but it sound's great in my budget 5.1 system. The price could not be beat. It only took three days to get to me as well.
Plays nice...
Full disclosure... I am not an "audiophile" and my main requirements for my surround sound system is that I can watch television and movies without much hassle and where I can actually hear what is going on in the dialog and effects.
I looked for a low-cost alternative to the packaged cigarrette-box-sized center channel speaker that came with my system. I wanted something that matched my Boston Acoustics left and right chanel speakers and that gave me audible dialog and sound effects for television and movie watching. I got all those things.
I can now hear the dialog without turning up the sound to levels that hurt the ears. The speaker box, in all its black plainness is just what I was looking for appearance wise. It fits my system and plays nicely.
My one criticism is the connector for the speaker wires. It is horrible! I understand that on lower cost audio components that one is not going to get "gold plated" high level...
