Defective product
I could not get this unit to link to my SB0830 transmitter. Suggestions from the manufacturer were also not helpful. I returned the item. I have two Creative model SB0840 receivers and they work great!

Wireless Freedom
I purchased this along with the X-FI notebook card. Wireless freedom is a luxury that I thoroughly enjoy. The ability to hear audio from my laptop on high quality speakers wirelessly makes it a much more satisfying experience. I can move to the couch without having to sit at my desk to watch a movie with great sound.
easy setup & good sound quality
like the previous reviewer i bought this together with the x-fi card, from creative's site that fulfills with amazon actually--was like $60 off or something close.
